Frequently asked questions

How do I take a screenshot of a website?

Paste the address into the field, choose the device and format, and click Take screenshot. The page is opened in a real browser on our servers and the image appears below after a few seconds.

Why does the page look different from my browser?

We load the page as a new visitor: not logged in, with cookie banners hidden and in the selected location. Pages that require a login or block automated browsers may show an error page.

Can I take screenshots automatically?

Yes, with the screenshotbase API: one GET request returns the image. The free plan includes 300 screenshots a month. See the documentation.
