The API answers with status 401 and a JSON body with the message and the error.code missing_api_key, for example:

- The
apikeyheader or query parameter is missing, or misspelled (api_key,apiKey). - An HTTP client or proxy that drops custom headers, or a redirect that loses them.
- An environment variable with the key that is empty in this environment.
How to fix it
- Send the key as the
apikeyheader:curl -H "apikey: YOUR-API-KEY" ..., or append&apikey=YOUR-API-KEYto the URL. - Get a free key at app.screenshotbase.com: 300 screenshots a month, no credit card.
- The body’s
actions.sign_uplink leads to the sign-up.
