Screenshot API error ยท HTTP 503

Country proxy unavailable

geo_proxy_unavailable

With ip_country_code, the proxy network we load pages through has no capacity for that country right now. The failure is on our side, not the website’s.

How to recognize it

The API answers with status 503 and a JSON body with the message and the error.code geo_proxy_unavailable, for example:

HTTP/1.1 503
Content-Type: application/json

{
  "error": {
    "code": "geo_proxy_unavailable",
    "message": "The IP location proxy has no capacity for this country right now (ip_country_code). Please retry in a moment, or try another country."
  },
  "message": "The IP location proxy has no capacity for this country right now (ip_country_code). Please retry in a moment, or try another country."
}

How to fix it

  1. Send the request again after the seconds in Retry-After (5).
  2. Try another country in ip_country_code, or send the request without it.

Retry

After the seconds in Retry-After, or right away with another country.

Billing

Not billed, and it does not count towards a free account’s 5 screenshots from other countries in any 5 days.
