Chrome network error · -407 · Cache
ERR_CACHE_CHECKSUM_READ_FAILURE
Chromium's description
The cache was unable to read a checksum record on an entry. This can be returned from attempts to read from the cache. It is an internal error, returned by the SimpleCache backend, but not by any URLRequest methods or members.
Chrome shows it as net::ERR_CACHE_CHECKSUM_READ_FAILURE, error -407. puppeteer and Playwright report the same name when a page fails to load in Chromium.
ERR_CACHE_CHECKSUM_READ_FAILURE in the screenshot API
When the page itself fails to load with ERR_CACHE_CHECKSUM_READ_FAILURE, the API answers 502 with the message The target website could not be loaded (ERR_CACHE_CHECKSUM_READ_FAILURE). (target_unreachable). Not billed.
Only the page's own load can fail a render. An image, script or frame of the page that fails with a network error does not: the page is captured as the browser shows it without that resource.
